Janie M. Meyer
Janie Meyer is a tax partner at Seim Johnson. Janie is a CPA and joined the Firm in 1992 after graduating from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Janie works in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, medical and real estate, providing tax and consulting services. She enjoys getting to know clients on a personal level and helping to identify their needs. She is also involved with our recruiting committee and leads our SJ LiT (Leaders in Training) group. Janie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has been involved in a number of civic organizations, including currently serving on the Board of the YMCA of the Midlands, past treasurer, finance committee member, Sunday school teacher and confirmation guide for St. Thomas Lutheran Church and treasurer of her sons’ Cub Scout Pack.
Do you sing in the car?
Yes! I’m one of those annoying people that knows the words to every song.
What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?
What can you be found doing outside of the office?
Spending time with my husband and my children. Or cheering on one of my children at a sporting event.
Who’s someone you admire and why?
My father. He suffered from polio as a child and it paralyzed his legs and caused many health issues. He was one of the strongest and most resilient people I have ever known.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I enjoy doing home improvement projects. I once tiled my entry way floor by myself.

A physical therapist.
