Roger E. Thompson
Roger Thompson is an audit partner at Seim Johnson and served as managing partner from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2017. He is a CPA and FHFMA (Fellow in Healthcare Financial Management Association). Roger has been awarded the Medal of Honor in HFMA and currently serves as a technical advisor to the University of North Carolina Rural Health Research Program. His industry/specialty areas of practice include: healthcare, not-for-profit, employee benefit plans, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and consulting. He and his wife have two adult children and enjoy outdoor activities.

What is one of your favorite quotes?
“People can’t see how smart you are but they will notice how hard you work” I believe this was from my maternal grandfather, John Johnsen.
What’s someone you admire and why?
Bill Seim, firm founder. He was a great mentor, and I was fortunate to have worked with him for nearly 20 years.
Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I have four holes-in-one and an Albatross in golf.

Professional baseball player, third-base, like my idol, Brooks Robinson.
