Paid Time Off (PTO)
Employees receive paid time off for vacations, personal time, and illness. The amount of PTO received is determined by your years of service and your position. PTO is accrued starting day one for new employees.
Leisure Bank Time
Associates and seniors “bank” hours throughout busy times of the year. This time is used as additional time off or can be compensated during the year or at the end of the year.
Employees receive seven paid holidays per year, plus an extra holiday that is set by the firm’s managing partner plus one more extra holiday that can be taken at your discretion. In addition, all of our people are encouraged to spend a day enjoying the outdoors at our firm golf outing.
Alternative Work/Remote Arrangements
For employees who have demonstrated their ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and provide consistent work products, an alternative work arrangement or working remotely can be coordinated with the supervisor. The arrangement is individualized to fit the needs of the employee and can change over the course of time to adjust to their changing needs.
Professional Leadership and Development
We provide new staff onboarding to help integrate and acclimate new employees when they begin at the firm. Each staff member is assigned a coach to help with their professional development and new hires are assigned a buddy to help guide them during their first year at the firm.
CPA Exam Assistance
CPA candidates can receive a bonus for passing the exam, in addition to receiving reimbursement for the cost of the exam and paid time off when you take the exam. We also partner with several CPA review course vendors, such as Becker, Yeager, and Gleim, to provide discounts on study materials.
Continuing Professional Education
We provide training courses conducted both internally and externally that will keep you up to date and in compliance with federal and state professional guidelines.
Civic involvement is important to all members of Seim Johnson, therefore memberships and dues to most civic organizations are fully reimbursed by the firm.
Membership dues—including AICPA, state societies and other industry organizations—and expenses are 100% paid by the firm to encourage professional development.

Two health plan options are offered through United Healthcare for employees working at least thirty hours per week, with the Firm providing a substantial amount of the premium.
Health Savings Account
Employees participating in the firm’s health plan receive a generous Firm contribution as well as have the opportunity to personally save with their Health Savings Account.
A PPO plan with a wide range of providers is available through Principal.
Medical and Dependent Care Benefits
Our flex plan allows employees to make pre-tax contributions to pay for eligible medical and dependent care expenses.
Employees can participate in the 401(k) plan almost immediately. Seim Johnson provides a profit-sharing contribution on your behalf. Participants have a wide range of funds to select from and receive personal attention from an investment advisor to assist in planning, if they so desire.
